Sick in Madrid Lobby Observations

Blonde needs attention. Her hair is did!

Maroon tee shirt needs to fit in. Moves in seat to create a group.

Green Patagonia bag needs to be in control. Would rather not live in a box.

Bright Green sneakers likes to fit in. Sneeze. God Bless you!

Boring white tee is aware of his Boston College bookmark. But no one else is.

Plans are for Fools

Mundane whispers of "I love you"
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

We grow older. Stronger.
Til death due us part.

Adventure Time.
I am his wingman. His is my househusband.

Not since 92 has an American won an individual gold in diving;

Theses Californians are already golden.
Ready.

To let go; DIVE.

Sun. Sun. Sun.
Fun. Fun. Fun.

Surprises Galore. We have a surprise of our own.
Yes. No. Yes. Go! Ugh. Grr. Aw Hell No.

Sell. Sell. Sell.
Wait. Wait. Wait.

At the end of the day. I look to the love of my life. He looks to me.
We support each other. We work together. We fight together.
We love each other.

There is no one else I'd rather go through all of this-- thank you.

Four More Years!

What I learned summer 2012

professional worth is not measured by a projected workload.
professional worth is not measured in cold shoulders.
professional worth is not what you say it is.

It's what we agree upon... for now.

You lost THIS minority vote

Shondra Rhimes tweets. And asks for diversity on "Bunheads".

Amy Sherman-Palladino responses with it's a shame women do not support other women.

I agreed with Rhimes. I still do. What I find shameful is:

It's 2012, your show lacks diversity and you play the "women do not support other women" card. It's 2012. Being called out on diversity is embarrassing. And don't refer to your lack of budget.

As a woman, if another woman becomes critical of me I'd do my best to appreciate it and listen. If Rhimes was a man, would her initial criticism be lost in a tangent issue? Having trouble listening to an ethnic minority? I can play cards too.

Sherman-Palladino, cut the excuses. Own up to your flawed show. Jumping on the patriarchal defensive was too easy.

And for all the women angry with Rhimes, focus on the goddamn issue at hand: lack of diversity in 2012. That's where your anger should be focused. How did you challenge your anger during the "Girls"... Right. What anger?

Miami Metro Rail.

I try to challenge myself. The awkwardness of holding my iPhone in my left hand is almost unbearable.

I almost long for the days of flip phones. The simplicity. The uniqueness of having less. Where less is more.

Almost. This blog post wouldn't exist. Simplicity. And demand. Functionally. Curing boredom. A defense mechanism. Saving me from public transport.

Never daring to make eye contact with. Another. Risking a relief from my bowed head.
But each time I dare to look up from this phone. I see beauty. I see strength. I see love.

A shared smile between strangers.
A considerate passenger that offers his seat to a mother and child.
A father with baby&stroller that took the time to formally thank a solider before stepping off the rail. Not letting a fellow passenger leave their umbrella behind. Smiles. Thank yous. Smiles. Thank yous.

For guarding the doors to my soul. I've sacrificed the possibility of beauty slipping in.

Will I ever learn?
